Within any industrial reality (not only), the company's internal branding is of great importance. This term refers to all those visual elements that allow operators to move correctly in a given environment. Internal company brands help you guarantee safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Above all, in this article, we will focus on corporate horizontal signs, which allow, for example, to define internal routes and define areas in full compliance with applicable regulations.

Corporate horizontal brands: why are they important?

The company's horizontal signage plays a vital role, as thanks to visual communication it is possible to optimize work processes and guarantee safety for operators.

These include directional, safety and information boards, as well as custom-made symbols to streamline company activities. This type of marking is becoming a staple in work areas where we deal with the sorting of goods, such as logistics hubs, allowing us to transport work vehicles and people working in an efficient and safe manner.

Internal company signs: types

There are different types of internal signs, and if we talk about basic signs, we can distinguish:

Company safety signs are used, for example, in areas used for loading and unloading goods, or areas for transporting vehicles such as trucks, forklifts and pallet trucks to prevent dangerous situations for operators.

However, with the help of directional and informative horizontal markings, anyone can navigate the company environment in a clear and intuitive way through the lines on the floor to reach the areas of interest.

Traditionally, this type of internal corporate signage is created using adhesive tapes and symbols that are placed on the floor or paint. However, this method has disadvantages, which include:

• wearability over time,
• poor visibility in some particularly dusty or often dirty environments,
• difficulty in remodulating paths or symbols in case of changes in the organization of society.

These are LED lamps that project lines, symbols and pictograms onto the floor and avoid the problems of classic marking using adhesive tapes and paints.

These projectors:

• withstand temperatures from -40° to +60°,
• allow repeated vehicle passes without having to be adjusted over time, as in the case of paints or adhesive tapes,
• they are clearly visible in any condition, even on dirty or dusty floors,
• they are easily remodulable and are therefore also suitable for warehouses that require continuous changes in markings,

They can be activated and deactivated under certain conditions, as in the video below, guaranteeing unparalleled security.

In this case, when the doors are closed, the pedestrian crossings are projected to allow pedestrians to pass, while when they are opened for the passage of a forklift truck, "Stop" symbols appear to warn of danger. A true innovation in the industrial and logistics sector.
