Our company is recognized for having introduced a solution to the industrial sector that represents a true revolution in the field of safety lighting.
Lighting solutions capable of preventing accidents in the workplace, such as those that occur along roads with mixed vehicular and pedestrian traffic or between work equipment itself, such as forklifts.
LED lighting systems of the highest standards of quality and reliability, which ensure the safety of every work environment, replace traditional floor signs or fit into contexts where no effective safety solution existed until now.
Before we get into the specifics lights, today we want to give everyone an overview of security and emergency lighting.
Safety and emergency lighting: the difference
These two terms are often confused or used incorrectly, but each contains different solutions.
Emergency lighting refers to a set of backup lighting and safety lighting systems. The first relate to the activation of alternative lighting sources in the event of interruption of the lighting produced by the main system in order to continue activities; while the other is aimed at ensuring the safety of people during an emergency.
Security lighting, which is mostly responsible for evacuating a space or room, must guarantee good visibility for people, but not only that, it must also illuminate the signs placed at the exits and along the escape routes in order to immediately identify the path to take in order to got to a safe place. It follows that the discussion of safety lighting cannot be separated from the discussion of safety signs to be used to facilitate access to emergency exits.
Types of security lighting
Safety lighting fixtures are installed according to three different objectives, to illuminate escape routes, to prevent panic situations and to guarantee the safety of people performing risky work or situations.
Emergency escape lighting
The purpose of emergency emergency lighting is to enable people to identify escape routes to an emergency exit. Escape routes must not only be illuminated, they must also be signposted: safety signs therefore fit into the context of escape safety lighting.
Anti-panic lighting
Anti-panic lighting is used to prevent people present from panicking during the absence of lighting. There are three situations in which it is necessary to provide anti-panic lighting:
- in areas where it is not possible to immediately identify an escape route,
- in areas normally inhabited by large numbers of people,
- in premises with an area larger than 60 m2.
Lighting of areas with high-risk activities
The purpose of this type of safety lighting, as defined by the UNI EN 1838 standard, is to "contribute to the safety of people involved in potentially dangerous situations or processes, as well as to enable the implementation of correct process termination procedures in the function of the safety of other occupants of the site". Some examples could be working in the presence of overhead cranes or on moving machines.
Safety lighting in a new way
Our safety lighting systems are designed to correctly signal escape routes, guarantee safe work in environments where overhead cranes and forklifts are located and guarantee greater safety in the work environment. Thanks to these tasks, they replace traditional horizontal safety signs that are subject to easy wear, especially in some industrial environments
These are some of the LED lights designed for industrial safety:
- Safe Light / Medium Safe / Mini Safe LED projectors that guarantee safety in the work environment through an endless series of applications that can be achieved thanks to special lens systems that project specific shapes onto the floor in green, red and blue color variations. A solution that is always clearly visible, even in brightly lit environments or with surfaces covered in dust or dirt. It is an ideal system for signaling emergency exits, collection points or dangerous areas where entry is prohibited;
- Safety Bar 30 Evo/Safety Bar H.P., for safety lighting of bridge cranes. Ideal for ensuring greater safety for the overhead crane operator and workers working in close maneuvering areas, especially in noisy and poorly lit environments. Applied to an overhead crane, this device emits a beam of blue or red light onto the ground to visually alert the overhead crane's arrival;
- Safety Bar 20 Evo, for forklift safety lighting that, when mounted on vehicles, emits a beam of blue or red light to a distance of several meters, which allows people to be warned of the arrival of a vehicle;
- Safety strip 25 Green, able to replace the application of paint or adhesive strips on the ground, to create walkways, paths and escape routes.
Our company's security lighting offering is constantly evolving and highly customizable. These are just some of our revolutionary solutions. Find out more in the dedicated section of our website and create a quote.
